Sustainable Historical Reconstruction

TCI is proud to have brought the Emily Dickinson Carriage House to life, a meticulous historical reproduction located on the grounds of the iconic museum. Working in close collaboration with the project's visionary architects at edmSTUDIO, we faithfully honored the 19th-century aesthetic and architectural heritage of the Dickinson estate. The result is a structure that seamlessly pairs authentic historical design with cutting-edge building science.

Phius-Certified Passive Performance

Behind its traditional facade, this project is officially included in the Phius (Passive House Institute US) certified database. Achieving this rigorous standard required advanced building envelope techniques, superior continuous insulation, and airtight construction. The high-performance design drastically minimizes carbon footprint and energy consumption, requiring a fraction of the heating and cooling energy of a standard build.
